DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
~Assists the Site Director with implementation of the Prime Time program through planning, organizing, evaluating developing and preparing materials for the program
~Works cooperatively with school personnel.
~Assists the Site Director in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children.
~Teaches assigned activities in a well thought out and prepared manner.
~Makes sure the materials and equipment for each activity are ready at the start of that activity and returned to the cabinet upon completion of said activity. A sample of the project of full explanation of the game or activity is part of this responsibility.
~Communicates effectively with students, parents, peers and Prime Time administrative office staff.
~Maintains a good rapport with parents, children and staff.
~Contributes positively to the mission and goals of the Prime Time program.
~Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance.
~Follows established policies concerning tardiness, absences, annual leave, sick leave and dress codes.
~Assists the Site Director in maintaining a clean work area.
~Works cooperatively with the Site Director to plan curriculum for the students.
~Continuously engages with children.
~Follows all DCDEE rules and regulations, Prime Time policies and regulations and the Cumberland County Schools.
~Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organization core values of
caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing diversity.
~Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
~Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with parents, staff, and community leaders.
~Must have finger dexterity and be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and
G drive paper mentions NCDL, but per email from Lori, they do not need it.
Will work 2p-6p at various locations and will report to different supervisors at each seperate location
There are a few morning prgrams and there is a program that is open on Mondays that is open 630a - 6p (these are rare positions)
M U S T have clean criminal background check No abuse, drugs, or assualt.
Must have reliable transportation
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Have a copy in file in case Prime Time asks for it.
Must wear khakis and solid shirt
Will work 22 hours per week.
Can go on Prime Time's payroll after 400 hours
Will attend a paid 4 hour training at Prime Time Admin Office at 1114 Gillespie Street
Must have attire: khaki slack/skirt, solid colored shirt, comfortable shoes
MUST BE ABLE TO START TRAINING CLASS ON 09/11/17
Must enjoy children and be able to help take down, move around, and put up milk crate containers that the children put their belongings in.
