This employee is the primary receptionist for the Department which performs general office assistance in support of the department.
~Answer telephone, screen and direct calls to correct destinations; answer customer inquiries that may involve policy, procedures or current case activity.
~Take and relay messages. Provide information to callers.
~Greet persons entering department.
~Directs persons to correct destination.
~Ensures knowledge of staff movements in and out of department.
~Maintains appointment logs manually and electronically.
~Receives payments for applications and/or DNA testing, records receipts and balances money with receipts on a daily basis.
~Secures funds at all times.
Must be able to navigate, retrieve and decipher information contained in the Automated Case Tracking System (ACTS).
Analyzes data to determine answers to questions from customers.
General administrative and clerical support, which may include mailroom duties: sorting mail, looking mail up in ACTS for correct agent, courier mail, certified mail, terminated file maintenance; telephone switchboard, call center duties and providing customer service to the public as to program policy. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
